Mustang Sally has not waned in popularity since it was first recorded by Sir Mack Rice in 1965. I wasn't even born yet. It's considered by many as one of the greatest hits of all time. I am one of the many. It also reminds me of a dear friend and musician Nic Klopper who sings it so damn well.
No matter what my mood, listening to this song makes me want to dance and puts a smile on my face.
I love the way The Commitments did it in their 1991 movie.
Didn't know the song is this old (and I had been born by then). Can't imagine that songs like that were around at the time, but then again, it was the sixties
